Wholesale food handlers predominantly hold food and sell to other businesses for resale either from a permanent location, a permanent location with delivery vehicles, or from a mobile unit only. An example of a permanent structure is a building. Examples of wholesale food handlers are packaged food warehouses and produce packing and aggregating locations.
Vehicles without a separate food facility have a special fee category (Minnesota Statute 28A.08) that should be “checked” when filling out your license application. Be aware that there are requirements for delivery vehicles, please visit Minnesota Rules 1550.0930-1020 for additional information.
The Manufactured Food Program within the Food and Feed Safety Division inspects wholesale food handlers.
